Marilyn Reflects on Her Ministry at Forest Home Chapel

My time at The Chapel was a perfect fit as I was retired from full-time ministry, and the invitation to serve half-time utilized my experience and fueled my creativity without depleting my physical energy.

Through listening and observing I learned that this congregation was very serious and intentional about its unique identity as a church with Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors. The genuine hospitality shown to all who come resulted in an amalgam of folks from many places and many backgrounds.

Together we established some goals and faced challenges. The outstanding response to a variety of special appeals is but one example of the commitment to serve as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Love shines through the lives of those who claim Forest Home Chapel as their church.
