Sunday School

Sunday School children and teacher Paula Winner take a curtain call after acting out the story of the infant Moses, complete with crocodiles!

September 9, 2012: Sunday School has resumed, with four teachers taking turns leading classes this fall.

Children are always welcome at the Chapel's Sunday worship service. Halfway through the service, Pastor Dolch invites them to come to the altar for "Time with Young Christians." Then children may join Sunday school teachers for classes downstairs, until worship is over.

The Chapel's rotating team of Sunday school teachers is prepared with curricula geared for nursery, preschool and kindergarten, and primary grades. We use Morehouse Education Resources Leader's Guide and handout booklets—colorful, interactive papers that expand each week's experience of the scriptures. Children may take their papers home to continue the lesson with their families.

Adaptability is our key to engaging young children in Sunday school lessons. Songs, games, maps, and plenty of arts projects help our children relate to lessons, and to enjoy being with others as they learn about living The Good News.
